How to preview a snippet
Type a title, description and URL on the left. The Google-style card on the right updates live, with pixel meters and a checks list. Switch between Desktop and Mobile widths, then copy the snippet HTML or download it as a standalone file.
Limits
| Field | Characters | Pixels (desktop) |
|---|---|---|
| Title | 60 | 600px |
| Description | 160 | 990px |
| URL | 60 | — |
Limits are measured on a desktop basis. Google truncates by pixel width, not characters.
Examples
| Input | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Example Domain — Best Examples Online / Discover the best examples… / https://example.com/best-examples | All checks pass |
| A very long title that keeps going past sixty characters and will be cut off / Short desc / https://example.com/page | Title length fails |
| Short title / (empty description) / https://example.com/my page | Description + URL fail |
Limits and edge cases
- Google uses pixel width and rewrites roughly 60% of titles, so character counts are only a guide.
- Mobile rendering differs from desktop: titles and descriptions are cut shorter on narrow screens.
- Pixel meters are a canvas font approximation (Arial 20px title, 14px description), not exact rendering.
Frequently asked questions
How do I preview my Google snippet?
Type your title, meta description and URL into the three fields. The Google-style preview card updates live as you type, on desktop or mobile width.
How long should my title be?
Keep titles around 60 characters or under about 600 pixels wide. Google truncates by pixel width, not characters, so wide letters like W take more space.
How long should my meta description be?
Aim for 160 characters or fewer, roughly 990 pixels on desktop. Longer descriptions are usually cut off with an ellipsis.
Why does Google rewrite my title?
Google rewrites a large share of titles to better match the query, so the preview shows what you asked for, not a guarantee of what searchers will see.
Is the pixel meter exact?
No. It is a desktop approximation measured with a canvas using Arial fonts. Real rendering depends on device, font and layout.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your last inputs are saved only in your browser's local storage.
