Tools that run in your browser
The JSON Formatter, SERP Parser, Search Query Generator, Google Search URL Generator, Sitemap Generator, SERP API Cost Calculator, Keyword Permutation Generator, the link and image extractors, the CSV Column Extractor, the 2FA Code Generator and every text and list tool process everything in your browser. What you paste, type or open as a file in them is not sent to our server.
Tools that use our server
Three tools send a request through our server, because browsers can't make these requests directly:
- HTTP Header Checker sends the URL you enter to our server, which requests that URL and returns the status codes and headers.
- Robots.txt Tester, when you choose to fetch a file, sends the site address to our server, which downloads that site's robots.txt. Testing URLs against the file happens in your browser.
- Search API Tester sends your query, options and API key to our server, which forwards them once to the search API you chose and returns its response. The provider's own privacy policy applies to what you send them.
Our server does not store the URLs, fetched content, queries, responses or API keys from these requests. To apply rate limits, it briefly keeps your IP address in memory; our code never writes it to a database or file. The server only fetches public addresses and refuses private and internal networks.
Hosting logs
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosts, Vercel records basic request information, such as the page requested, time and IP address, to run and secure the service. If a server request fails unexpectedly, the error details are written to these logs so we can fix the problem.
Stored in your browser
Tools remember your last inputs and settings in your browser's local storage, so they are still there when you come back. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. The Search API Tester only saves an API key if you tick "Remember key on this device", and you can remove it with "Forget key". The 2FA Code Generator never saves secret keys unless you tick "Remember secrets on this device". To clear everything, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
