Limits and edge cases

  • Sentence case lowercases the whole text first, then uppercases the first letter of the text and the first letter after each . ? ! … terminator (quotes and closing brackets after the terminator are skipped).
  • Title case uppercases the first letter of each letter/digit run and lowercases the rest; apostrophes inside a word do not restart it, so o'brien becomes O'brien.
  • Inverted case swaps every letter (a→A, A→a); digits, punctuation, spaces and emoji pass through unchanged.
  • Uppercase and lowercase use Unicode-aware conversion; length can change for special characters such as ß → SS.
  • Conversion is code-point aware, so emoji stay intact.

Frequently asked questions

How do I change text case?

Paste your text into the input box, pick a case style or press one of the preset buttons, and the converted text appears instantly. Copy it or download it as a .txt file.

Which case styles are supported?

UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case and iNVERTED CASE — all five converters in one place.

How does sentence case work?

The whole text is lowercased first, then the first letter of the text and the first letter after each sentence terminator (. ? ! …) is uppercased.

How does title case handle apostrophes?

Apostrophes inside a word do not restart it, so o'brien becomes O'brien rather than O'Brien.

What does inverted case do?

Every letter swaps case: lowercase becomes uppercase and uppercase becomes lowercase. Digits, punctuation and emoji pass through unchanged.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. Conversion runs in your browser with JavaScript and nothing is sent to a server. Inputs under 200 KB are kept in your browser's local storage so they are still there when you come back.
