How to remove empty lines
Paste your text into Your text, or press Load example. Every empty line is
deleted instantly and the cleaned text appears next to it, updating as you type. Copy the result or download it
as a .txt file. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing you paste is uploaded.
Examples

|---|---|
| First line Second line | First line Second line |
| a b | a b |
| a b c | a b c |
Limits and edge cases
- Truly empty lines are always removed; whitespace-only lines are removed unless you uncheck the option.
- Windows-style CRLF endings are preserved; other text keeps LF endings.
- A single trailing newline is the end of the last line, not an extra blank line.
Frequently asked questions
How do I remove empty lines from text?
Paste your text into the input box and every empty line is removed instantly. Copy the result or download it as a .txt file.
What counts as an empty line?
Truly empty lines are always removed. Lines with only spaces or tabs are also removed by default, and you can keep them by unchecking the option.
Are my line endings preserved?
Yes. If your text uses Windows-style CRLF endings, the result keeps CRLF; otherwise it uses LF. Spacing inside kept lines is never changed.
Does a trailing newline create an extra empty line?
No. A single trailing newline is treated as the end of the last line, not as an extra blank line, so it does not inflate the removed count.
Can I download the cleaned text?
Yes. Press Download .txt to save the result as no-empty-lines.txt, or use Copy to paste it elsewhere.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Removing empty lines runs in your browser with JavaScript and nothing is sent to a server. Inputs under 200 KB are kept in your browser's local storage so they are still there when you come back.
