Limits and edge cases
- Quoted values stay together: a comma inside double quotes does not split, and the quotes are removed.
- A doubled
""inside quotes becomes one literal quote character. - Line breaks inside quotes are kept as part of that item.
- Type

What happens to values in double quotes?
Quoted values stay together. A comma inside double quotes, as in "Curie, Marie", does not split, and the surrounding quotes are removed in the output.
How do escaped quotes work?
A doubled double-quote inside a quoted value becomes one literal quote. For example "a""b" converts to a"b.
Can I split on something other than a comma?
Yes. Type any delimiter into the delimiter box, such as a semicolon or pipe. Type \t for a tab and \n for a line break. Leave it blank to keep the text as a single item.
What do the trim and skip-empty options do?
Trim removes spaces at both ends of each item. Skip empty drops items that are empty after the optional trim, so a,,b becomes two lines instead of three. Unticking skip empty keeps blank lines for empty items.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Conversion runs in your browser with JavaScript and nothing is sent to a server. Inputs under 200 KB are kept in your browser's local storage so they are still there when you come back.
